Gul Panag was born on 03-01-1979 in Chandigarh, India. She is an Indian Film Actress, Television Actress, Voice Artist, Model, Politician & TV Host who best known for her work in Bollywood films. She was born to an armymen and hence relocated to various places in India and abroad during her childhood. She though was clear that she wanted to become an actor. She came to limelight after she won the Miss India Beauty pageant in 1999. The same year, she represented India at the Miss University pageant. She began her acting career through television series Kashmeer in the year 2003. The same year she made her silver screen debut through Bollywood film titled Dhoop in the year 2003. The film went unnoticed. She was then seen in Bollywood film Jurm which again was a box-office disaster. She then came to the limelight with an overwhelming performance in the much-acclaimed film Dor in the year 2006. For her performance, she ended up winning Zee Cine Critics Award for Best Actress. Since then, she has worked in various Bollywood films in lead and supporting roles. Some of her notable films include Manorama Six Feet Under, Hello, Rann, Turning 30, and Student of the Year 2 among others. She has recently seen in Bollywood film Bypass Road and Amazon web series titled The Family Man. In addition to films, she is associated with various charitable organizations. She runs the Colonel Shamsher Singh Foundation which works towards a range of causes like free education, gender equality, and disaster management. She also tried her hands at politics by joining Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party. She even contested from Chandigarh constituency in the 2014 general elections but came 3rd. She is also a serial half-marathon runner, certified pilot, and an avid biker. She has also trained on a professional platform- Formula E.
