Monaz Mevawala is a Hindi television actress who appeared in the drama series, Meet Mila De Rabba on Sony TV. She played the role of Dolly, the younger sister of Geet (played by Surilie Gautam). She became controversial when she was abused on her way to the shoot of the show, Savdhaan India by an auto-rickshaw driver. She stated that while she was traveling to the shoot at Filmcity, she stopped at a traffic signal. While waiting, she saw the driver consistently staring at him. She ignored him but the driver just didn’t stop and started to follow her. The driver rams her car when she speeds up and started hurling when she was forced to stop the car. She locked her car and took pictures and video of the driver. Her car was damaged but she was brave enough to face the culprit. She filed a case against him and the man was put into jail. Monaz appeared in the comedy series, Chupke Chupke on SAB TV. She was also bagged to a negative role on DD1’s Urmila and also in the show, The Greatest Indian Comedy Show on STAR One channel. She was also part of the Hindi serial, Jabb Love Hua on Zee TV and appeared as Mansi Abhayankar on Sony TV’s Rishton Ki Dor. Monaz auditioned in the Hindi soap, Astitva – Ek Prem Kahani on Zee TV, and she was luckily selected to do the role of Amisha Dalal which became her first major break. Then she did the mythological show, Jai Jag Janani Maa Durga. Monaz also did an episodic in the comedy-drama show, on Zee TV. Later, she played a cameo role in the show, Everest on STAR Plus. The story is about the life of a young man who aspires to capture the utmost peak in the world. Monaz was also part of Rajshri Productions’ Jhilmil Sitaaron Ka Aangan Hoga, where she played a pivotal role as Jharna. The story is all about the Raichand family together with their three daughters. Monaz’ character was one of the daughters, who is a brat and very fond of jewelry and sarees. Monaz likes to eat Continental and Chinese foods. She is also single and focusing more on her career. She was also once been rumored that she is a tantrum queen on the set, but she said that this is complete nonsense, she said she is a sweetheart and everybody adores her on the set.
